How To Actually Create a Signature Content for Your Brand
Most advice about “signature content” is…not really that helpful.
You’ve probably seen the advice to start a “This is a Day 1 of doing XYZ" series. Can it work in some cases? Of course - mostly if you’ve already build an audience that cares about you.
But more often than not you end up posting 8 parts of a series no one’s really engaging with.
I think about signature content very differently.
I’m going to break down exactly how we choose our signature content & how we use it to grow our audience on (almost) auto-pilot.
Here’s how to find your signature content.

Step 1: Let your audience choose your signature content
Your signature content isn’t what you decide it is.
It’s what your audience keeps coming back to.
So don’t start with a 10-part series right out the gate.
Start by testing:
Different formats
Different topics
Different tones
Watch what gets saves. Shares. Replies. Experiment with new things and see what signals you’re getting.
We did this with our “What to Post This Week” content series and the “ChatGPT Hacks That Should Be Illegal” posts.
We tested both ideas a few times. Watched the performance.
Then doubled down and made them a cornerstone of our content strategy.
Will it always work? Probably not forever. But once the data dips, we move on & find something new.
Step 2: Make it instantly recognizable
You want someone to see your post and immediately know it’s yours.
That means building something repeatable, visually or structurally.
This could be:
A signature headline format
A recurring hook or structure
A unique visual style or tone
A topic you always come back to
Here’s what it looks like in action:
Why it works:
Better than a boring “Monthly Recap”
Recurring format + recognizable visuals
Audience-first: she shares links, inspo, even lip combos
Why it works:
Really catchy hook
Knows her audience and what they need from her
Super saveable as a resource for entrepreneurial job-seekers
Why it works:
Tackles relatable, daily-life struggles
Makes the audience feel seen
Gets reshared because it helps people look smart in front of their own audience
Step 3: Iterate until you hit content-market fit
Not every idea is going to land. And that’s more than okay.
Just like products, content needs market fit. It simply means, that there are enough people in the world that find your particular content interesting or entertaining.
Here’s how you know if you have it vs. signals you should change things up:

If you’re not seeing that, don’t force it. Refine the format. Shift the tone. Try a new angle. Bottom line? Don’t overcommit to a format that’s not working.
Create, test, analyze, refine, repeat. That’s how your content gets really good.
TL:DR
Your signature content is the thing people associate with you.
It builds trust, visibility, and connection. And if you do it right, it builds your audience too.
Here’s how to find yours:
Let the data guide you
Create a repeatable, recognizable format
Focus on topics that deliver value and resonate deeply
Iterate until you find content-market fit
TIME FOR A REBRAND?
Content shouldn’t feel like an uphill battle.
If you’ve been posting and nothing’s landing...
Or if you keep telling yourself, “I just need to figure a few more things out, and then I’ll start showing up for real…”
I’ve been there!
The truth is, it’s really hard to stay consistent (or confident) when your brand vision isn’t clear or when you don’t have a system for what to say and how to say it.
That’s why we created the Rebrand Guide.
This guide helps you define your brand and turn it into content that actually resonates, feels aligned with your next chapter, and gets results. It’s time to stop second-guessing yourself and time to make moves.
